On Monday, Minister of Business Dominic Gaskin met with the Chairman of Linden Enterprise Network (LEN), Klensil Grenville to discuss businesses development in Linden. Klensil was also accompanied by a three-member team.
During the meeting, Grenville expressed interest in capacity building, which he deemed an “important” area. The Chairman was particularly interest in forging of linkages with the small business bureau and GO-Invest for capacity building in Inward investment and Business Advisory.
In turn, Minister Gaskin gave the Ministry commitment to fostering collaboration with LEN in areas of shared interest pertaining to small and micro business development.
This meeting represents continuing efforts by the Ministry of Business to engage regional administration, agencies and stakeholders even as its goes about achieving regional collaboration to promote investor-ready projects. This is premised on the fact that each region in Guyana should understand its own investment opportunities and can benefit from collaboration with an Investment Promotion Agency which can promote those opportunities to investors.
